ISTEC is proud Corporate Member of the World Cruising Club, the organizers of the famous Atlantic Rally for Cruisers (ARC) and other cruising rallies worldwide.
Given the fact that crews on long-distance races and cruising rallies sail within the range of 100° to 220° apparent wind angle for the vast majority of the time, choosing the right downwind sail is very important. Home to Parasailor and Parasail, ISTEC has great experience with all sorts of downwind sailing equipment and gladly discusses the various options with rally participants.
Special support for ARC participants is provided by ISTEC representative and Parasailor expert Thomas Wibberenz. As has become a tradition, Thomas speaks at the various ARC preparation seminars during the months before the event.
Closer to the start in late November, Thomas stays at the starting venue in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria and helps Parasailor-equipped crews get ready for the crossing. Are all blocks in perfect condition and properly installed? Does any of the crew have any questions about the handling of the Easysnuffer recovery sock or the optimal trim of the Parasailor?
And finally, when everyone celebrates their achievement at the finish at Rodney Bay Marina in St. Lucia, Thomas is there to welcome Parasailor customers and friends.
Hundreds of ARC participants chose the Parasailor for their journey. Check the testimonials section to see what some of them have to say.
